Referral fees

Some providers pay a referral fee when you sign up through a link marked affiliate. That link always sits beside the plain link to the pricing page, so you can skip it.

Sponsored placement

The homepage has one slot for a sponsor. It carries the label Sponsored and sits apart from the costs, curves and rankings. We arrange it by hand. The sponsor pays for the slot only; it does not change any number on the site.

Rankings do not depend on who pays

Every ranking, cheapest pick and cost curve comes from the @kompair/engine package. The engine receives price models only; it cannot read affiliate data. The check checks/affiliate-isolation.sh fails the build if the engine names affiliate or referral data, or imports anything outside itself except Zod. The same check fails if the engine, ranking, estimate or catalog code names placements.

The API

The API and MCP endpoint use one key. The free key has a rate limit. A paid tier raises the limit and licenses commercial use, with attribution.
